Tianyi Satcom Successfully Completes Enclosure of 40-Meter Large-Scale Radar Antenna radome

On March 28th, the first-ever 40-meter large-scale, high-performance Ku-band radar antenna radome, designed and manufactured by Tianyi Satcom, was successfully capped at the company's test assembly base in Xi'an. This antenna radome, entirely proprietary to Tianyi Satcom, fills a technological gap in China's large-scale, high-frequency radar antenna radomes. Mr. Wu Jian, Director of Science and Technology Department of Shaanxi Investment Group Co., Ltd, and Mr. Xu Tianyou, Secretary of Party Committee and Chairman of Board of Directors of Shaanxi Investment and Emerging Industries Development Co., Ltd, attended the topping-out ceremony and delivered speeches.

The radome is 30 meters high, composed of nearly 1,000 triangular unit blocks, adopting truncated spherical metal space skeleton and sandwich structure composite material cover wall. It is the first one to use hot press tank process to integrate molding unit block, integrating metal skeleton in the high frequency band wave-transparent advantage and the strength advantage of composite sandwich plate, the unit loss is reduced to 0.3db, with high wave-transparent, high-strength advantage, high-frequency loss is small, and it reaches the leading level in China.

The composite material panels of the antenna radome employ dedicated positioning fixtures and molding molds, ensuring dimensional accuracy and consistency among individual units and a series of key technologies have been overcome in the high-precision assembly and waterproof sealing of large radome.  It is reported that the radome is mainly used for supporting military radar, meteorological radar, alert radar, radio astronomy, satellite communications, range measurement and control and other large ground fixed station radar antenna system.

Last year, Tianyi Satcom successfully entered the large-scale radar antenna radome market, achieving a groundbreaking 'zero-to-one' breakthrough in the entire process from design, validation, manufacturing, high-precision field assembly, to testing.  In recent years, Tianyi Technology has been plowing into the field of large radome, and has delivered 7.3m Ka-band radome, 20m Ka-band radome and other products successively, which have been highly recognized by the market.

The successful capping of the 40-meter large-scale high-frequency band high-performance radome marks that Tianyi Satcom has taken a step forward in the large-scale radome market. In the future, the company will continue to intensify its research and development efforts, venturing into the realm of ultra-large radar antenna domes, establishing a product series and industrialized development capability for metal-frame radar antenna domes, and driving the application of large-scale radar antenna domes.
